You know, vacations come in all shapes and sizes. The big question is whether
you’ve even put it on your calendar. No. It’s still a “someday” item.
Someday when the other stuff is taken care of, then? Not likely. Put it on your calendar.

I still smile at this because I worked with a leader who added the F word to
that statement. He didn’t realize that his lack of communication about the
expectations and his lack of living into the company vision kept him at arm’s
length from his team members (whom he called employees). Do you want your
family or your team members at work to act a certain way? Model what you
want to see. Get clear about your values. And keep talking about the Vision.
